Citizen Schools Apprenticeship Guest Week!

Spend ONE Afternoon Inspiring Students to Discover and Achieve their Dreams... Volunteer as a Guest Citizen Teacher!

This April, Citizen Schools is excited to host its semi-annual Guest Week. Join our apprenticeship classrooms for one afternoon to share your personal story and professional journey while helping students gain the knowledge, skills, and passion they need to succeed.

As a Guest Citizen Teacher, you might join in on teambuilding activities, provide feedback on students' writing and presentation skills, work 1:1 or in small groups with students building lego robots or developing their new business marketing plans... The possibilities are endless! Your main role is to support our full time Citizen Teachers with their apprenticeships and inspire our students with your own love for learning.

Grab a colleague or two to join you, and spend the afternoon making a difference in the lives of our students.
REGISTER TODAY
Spaces are limited, and registration closes on Monday, March 31st.

Citizen Schools: looking for volunteer experts!

Become a STEM expert and work with students

Who: Citizen Schools
What: Volunteering for 90 minutes a week, working with 15 middle school students to teach new skills
Information: To volunteer or learn more, fill out an interest form on Citizen Schools' website

At Citizen Schools, middle school students work side-by-side with experts to explore new fields, learn new skills, and create something real for their community! Citizen Teachers are volunteers who teach middle-school students in low-income communities new skills and expose them to new futures. For ten weeks, volunteers work with a group of 15 students for 90 minutes each week. Volunteers receive up-front training, weekly lesson-plan assistance, and are paired with a trained staff member for on-going in-class support!

Citizen Schools runs programs at school sites in Boston and Chelsea. Citizen Schools has a whole library of curriculum you can choose from, or they will work with you to design your own.
