About Us

In fall 2011, the Boston Private Industry Council, in partnership with the United Way and Boston Public Schools, began convening the Boston STEM Network.

The network is primarily tasked with being one of the eight regional collaboratives which advise the Governor’s STEM Council. In its first year, the Boston network has identified promoting student interest and engagement in STEM activities as its focus. Three task forces are focusing on deliverables in three areas: measurement, career awareness, and out-of-school time.

The Network is comprised of representatives from the public education system, STEM businesses, after school programs, labor organizations, philanthropic partners and others from the community.
