Universities and K-12 Schools 2013 Workshop

Join ASBMB members and past HOPES grant recipients for the 3rd Annual Fostering Partnerships between Colleges, Universities and K-12 Schools, in Boston as part of the 2013 ASBMB Annual Meeting. This workshop is designed for junior high and high school teachers and college/university faculty and researchers who are interested in forming collaborative partnerships to bring creative, cutting-edge, and hands-on science into K-12 classrooms. This workshop is open to anyone interested in science education, and teachers, faculty and researchers from the Boston area are especially encouraged to attend.

Workshop speakers will showcase successful existing partnerships between K-12 schools and colleges/universities, as well as generate ideas for partnerships in the Boston area. Attendees will also be able to participate in a hands-on science demonstration as well as learn about funding opportunities through the ASBMB in 2013.
