This
Friday, the Boston Youth Environmental Network is hosting Susan Reyes from Wind Wise to provide a training for
educators and youth workers working with high school aged youth. Trainees will
learn about basic wind energy concepts and practice designing and building wind
turbines. All participants will receive a complimentary wind turbine to
take back and use in their programs.

This
wind science workshop will share hands-on activities, ideas, and lesson plans
for providers working with high school aged youth. Participants will receive the
tools, resources, and knowledge needed to successfully implement wind power
concepts in their programs. The activities and lessons will be based on the WindWise educational curriculum.
All
workshop participants will receive a hands-on wind turbine kit.
