Former lt. governor Tim Murray’s legacy of leadership in STEM

STEM Leadership in Massachusetts

Lieutenant Governor Tim Murry recently left the political sphere, after four years of leadership in STEM. Joyce Plotkin, Founder & CEO of DIGITS and Vice Chair of the Executive Committee of the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council, says:
We have made incredible progress in STEM over the last four years. It was under Tim Murray’s leadership that the 21st century STEM movement in Massachusetts was born – and because of his vision, commitment, and stewardship, we have a strong and active volunteer leadership group, excellent staff, state agency involvement, a plan with clear and measurable goals, consistent state funding over the last several years, and a long list of accomplishments.
