Microsoft New England and The Boston Area Girls STEM Collaborative for
refreshments, appetizers, networking and a dynamic panel that will explore
opportunities that make a real impact with women and girls in STEM.
Panelists include:
Angie Anderson
Director of Development, Microsoft
Angie Anderson joined Microsoft in
2008 and is responsible for Development, Architecture and Sustaining
Engineering for Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack and System Center products.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Angie was Senior Vice President of Development at
Openwave, delivering browser, messaging, identity and location based products
to phone vendors and mobile carriers.
Katie Rae
Managing Director, TechStars
Katie Rae is the Managing Director
of TechStars in Boston, and is also a founder of Project 11, a firm that invests
in and assists early-stage startups. Katie specializes in rapid product
development and customer growth strategies for Internet businesses that scale.
Susan Staffin Metz
Principal Investigator, Stevens
Institute of Technology
Susan Staffin Metz is a founder
and Past President of WEPAN, Women in Engineering Proactive Network. In this
capacity, she has worked with over 200 colleges and universities to increase
access and engagement of women in engineering and science through research,
policy and program development.
