GET ENERGIZED! Powering the Future with Green STEM Education

On behalf of the Boston STEM Network and the Boston Youth Environmental Network, you're invited to join us in cultivating the next generation of environmental and clean energy professionals!

GET ENERGIZED! Powering the Future with Green STEM Education
Wednesday, May 15, 2013
1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology

This forum will focus on green STEM education, drawing attention to teaching about sustainability, renewable energy, and clean technology concepts and careers. Event participants will be able to circulate among presenters, participating in interactive demonstrations of green STEM activities and gathering information on programs and services. Professionals from green careers will provide insight on what jobs in their field are like, and on what credentials are necessary.

Activities will also include break-out sessions covering topics such as career connections, diversity and STEM careers, benchmarks for STEM success, and more! This event will bring together over 120 informal science educators, after school program providers, program directors, and green industry professionals to learn about innovative approaches for incorporating green concepts into STEM education efforts, how to connect young people to pathways into green careers in the clean energy industry, and to discuss ways to collaborate on green STEM education initiatives underway in Boston.

Attendance is free; register on EventBrite. If your company is interested in increasing its visibility and building awareness as an industry leader, sponsorship opportunities are available -- please contact Dawn Chávez (617-345-5322, x110) for more information.
